Tax and National Insurance

Do I pay tax or National Insurance?

All Diplomatic staff are exempt from tax. All other staff are subject to National Insurance Contributions and Secretariat internal income tax paid at UK income tax rates. Please click on the link below to a site that provides an estimate of salary earned after deductions of tax and national insurance.

Please note that the housing allowance is 30 per cent of your gross salary.  It should be added to your salary prior to using the tax calculator.
