Temporary accommodation

Where will I stay upon my arrival in London?

The Secretariat will assist with finding temporary accommodation. 

Your daily subsistence allowance will be paid at United Nations rate for London, accompanying spouse (75 per cent) and accompanying dependent children (50 per cent), for a period of up to two weeks from the date of your arrival in post. The cost for the temporary accommodation for up to 2 weeks will be deducted from this subsistence allowance.

If you are not able to find permanent accommodation during the first two weeks, the Secretariat will meet the continued cost of temporary housing up to another three weeks.

 A taxi pick-up will be arranged to meet overseas recruited staff members on their arrival.
