You are entitled to ship household goods, the cubic footage is indicated in the terms and conditions of service attached to the offer letter. Apartments and houses in London are relatively small and mostly furnished. If you have more than what your London residence can accommodate, please remember that renting storage space is very expensive and the Secretariat does not pay for such storage. So, before you leave, please select carefully items you wish to bring to London.

It is advisable to arrange the arrival of your shipment after you have found permanent housing. By that time, you will have a greater idea of what personal effects you will need. While storage of shipment in London for up to two weeks is provided for, you will have to pay for delivery to your new found home. You do not pay for delivery if the shipment is delivered directly to your home upon its arrival. Delivery should be made during weekdays. Companies charge extra for weekend delivery and this extra charge is  your responsibility.
