There are varied opportunities for work at the Commonwealth Secretariat. Majority of the Secretariat’s staff is based at its London headquarters in Westminster, UK. There is a smaller sub-section of the Secretariat in New York. Commonwealth's Youth Programme (CYP) has regional headquarters in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Annually, the Secretariat also facilitates recruitment of trained professionals through the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation (CFTC). People selected for placements are sent to Commonwealth countries needing their technical expertise.
