Overseas assignments

Every year the Commonwealth Secretariat sends more than 350 professionals from the private and public sectors to areas where expert skills are needed

These jobs are funded by the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-Operation (CFTC) which is one of the key programs administered by the Secretariat. Since 1971, the fund has been instrumental in providing technical assistance to member countries.

Work through the CFTC can include jobs related to trade capacity-building, public-sector reform and governance; economic and financial management; health and education as well as other areas related to a country's growth and development.
