International Finance and Capital Markets

To take forward reform of international institutions through the establishment of a process of pan Commonwealth consultation. We will be extending our financial literacy work to the Pacific, building on successful work in the Caribbean. And in investment, to further our understanding of obstacles to development of financial sectors in the Caribbean and Pacific. We will design interventions and policies to improve efficiency in these sectors.

Small States

We will extend our work on assisting small states to build their resilience to shocks. In addition, we will assist small states to benefit from and meet the challenges posed by globalisation. Migration will be a focus of our work so that small states can not only benefit from remittances but also skills of their migrated human resources. Development indicators on small states will be made available online so that policymakers and researchers have easy access to data for analysis.
