Scholarships

The Commonwealth Secretariat does not offer scholarships, these are managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship Plan (CSFP). An independent body established in 1959 at the first Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (CCEM), the CSFP offers awards in a wide range of countries. Awards under the scheme are not made by any central body.

It is for each Commonwealth country to decide whether to offer awards in a particular year, which countries will be eligible to receive them and what precise selection criteria will operate.
