The focus of COL is to extend learning through open and distance mechanisms for learning. In addition to its many projects throughout the Commonwealth, COL has developed a 'knowledge finder' which keeps track of one million documents from quality assessed sources. Commonwealth Consortium for Education (CCfE)

CCfE was established by a group of education-related Commonwealth NGOs, to coordinate their efforts on behalf of Commonwealth education, to stimulate more coherence in their work and to provide a collective mechanism for interaction with ministries and official Commonwealth organisations.

United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI)

Since its creation in 1945, UNESCO has worked to improve education worldwide through technical advice, standard setting, innovative projects, capacity-building and networking. Its main mission is to promote education as a fundamental right, improve the quality of education and stimulate experimentation, innovative and policy dialogue.
