It is more convenient to use public transport to and from work than to drive because of traffic congestion and the time it would take to drive to work. The City of London imposes congestion charge for vehicles at the rate of £8 a day. In addition there will be cost for car tax, fuel and maintenance. Public transport is relatively reliable.
