The Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-Operation is one of the key programs administered by the Secretariat. Since 1971, the fund has been instrumental in providing technical assistance to member countries.
Through the Commonwealth Secretariat, on an annual basis, more than 350 professionals from the private and public sectors are sent to areas where expertises are needed. This is often to countries challenged by human resources and other constraints. These jobs can include long term assignments up to a few years or short term for just a few weeks or months.
Work through the CFTC can include jobs related to trade capacity-building, public-sector reform and governance; economic and financial management; health and education as well as other areas related to a country's growth and development.
