Summit Details

Venue

8WAMM will be held in Uganda from 11-14 June 2007 at the Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Munyonyo, Uganda. http://www.spekeresort.com/

Chairperson

As per Commonwealth tradition, the Hon Syda Bbumba, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Government of Uganda, will chair the meeting as a representative of the hosts of 8WAMM.

Commonwealth Secretary-General Don McKinnon will lead the Commonwealth Secretariat’s delegation.

Participants

The meeting will bring together a rich mix of 250 to 300 participants including women’s affairs ministers, senior officials, parliamentarians, magistrates, judges and lawyers, women entrepreneurs, youth, civil society organisations, and international, regional and bilateral partner agencies.
