Regional Assistance

Regional Trade Advisers

Regional Trade Advisers (RTAs) will provide advice on multilateral and regional trade negotiations and trade policy formulation.

RTAs will also carry out periodic needs assessments to determine the areas of capacity-building programmes and to manage these throughout the Project.

Trade Policy Analysts

Trade Policy Analysts (TPAs) will undertake trade policy analytical work to support the assigned ministry in multilateral trade policy formulation.

TPAs will also provide assistance to facilitate WTO notifications, contribute to capacity building through the transfer of skills to national officials and identify stakeholders and develop participatory network mechanisms.

In order to ensure long-term capacity building, Regional Integration Organisations and Ministries will identify regional and national counterparts to be trained over the life of the project.
