Archives

The Archives holds the records of the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Secretary General Arnold Smith (right)with Deputy Secretary-General A.L. Arnold Smith Papers

Arnold Smith (1915 – 1994), served as the first Secretary-General 1965 -1975.

The Commonwealth Secretariat follows a policy of releasing records into the public domain after a 30 year closure period.
