Batsho Elite Nthoi

Batsho Elite Nthoi, 24, holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana and currently works as an Attorney . He is an avid activist for children and youth rights. Since 2001, he has been working as a part-time Children Rights Advocate at UNICEF Botswana. He also leads the Botswana National Youth Council as the Board Chairperson. His aspiration is to educate children & youth to be conscious of their rights & responsibilities. He also aspires to be a diplomat, run the best human rights law practice, or to be a leader of Botswana or an international organisation. His hobbies include poetry, debating and working with children.

“The critical issues currently facing the youth in Botswana… HIV/AIDS, unemployment, lack of meaningful involvement and participation in governance issues… can be addressed through behaviour change, self employment and business ventures, credit schemes, education, advocacy, lobbying and the strengthening of the National Youth Council”.
