Youth leader/activist: served in the youth movement for over twenty years, including 4 years as an executive member of the Saint Lucia National Youth Council and 2years as secretary/treasurer of the Caribbean Federation of Youth. He was a leading member of a group of youth leaders which included among others, Hon. Mario Michel the current Minister responsible for youth in Saint Lucia, Amstrong Alexis former Regional Director of CYPCC that engaged in a prolonged and difficult struggle to re-establish the Saint Lucia National Youth Council in 1985.
Trade Unionist: He became the longest serving General Secretary of the Saint Lucia Civil Association serving in that capacity from 1985-1997. During his tenure the Union was upgraded from a weak and divided entity to become one of the most vibrant and influential social partners in Saint Lucia. As a trade unionist he represented Saint Lucia and the region at numerous regional and international conferences.
Counselor: 1983-1988, he served as a counselor for youth offenders at the Saint Lucia Boys Training Center. During this period he benefited from numerous training opportunities in basic, intermediate and advance counseling techniques.
Social Activist: During the period 1997 - 2005 he was responsible for the coordination and management of various public sector projects to provide employment opportunities and social relief for youth and other less fortunate individuals.
Industrial Relations and H.R consultant: He has provided consultancy services in Industrial relations and Human Resource management to public and private sector entities in Saint Lucia and the Windward Islands. He has also facilitated many training workshops and seminars for trade unions, youth organizations, and community based organizations and other such entities.
During the period 1992-1994 he also served as regional education coordinator for Public Services International, which is the largest confederation of public sector unions.
General: He has served on various Boards of Management including as chairman of the Saint Lucia National Health Insurance, member of the Saint Lucia National Lotteries Authority from 1997-2005 and the Windward Islands Lottery Incorporated.
He is a passionate student of history, global political and current affairs. He is also an amateur poet and freelance writer.
He also shares a deep and passionate love for Cricket, Caribbean music genres (calypso and conscious reggae), theatric productions, and Caribbean and African folklore.
