IGNOU Partnership

Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) had tied up with CYP Asia Centre as Partner for undertaking course of Certificate In Computing(CIC), a computer course for 6 months duration.

This course is compulsory for students who have not read Mathematics at 10+2 level and still want to do a 3 years Post-Graduate course of Masters in Computers Applications(MCA) or 3 years Under-Graduate course in Bachelors in Computers   Applications (BCA).This course is also compulsory for students who are Post-Graduate in Sciences and want to take direct admission in 2nd Year of MCA course. Till now three batches of CIC had already passed out by November, 2003.

The course of CIC basically covers computer fundamentals, including the literary level knowledge about computer   hardware, involving peripherals and also provides an overview of various computer softwares with their   classifications based on their usage.

This course also put some light on the usage of computers in various arenas classified as Home applications, Office   applications and Business applications. This course also stress on the Internet use in our daily life for various   purposes. This course also gives us knowledge about brief history of computers. Last but not the least, the   practical aspect of this course provide complete knowledge about various computer applications using MS-Office software package. The practical knowledge of using MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel, MS-Access and Internet   opens new doors of job opportunities for many persons and also help many to do their existing jobs more effectively.
