Youth Enterprise Foundation

The Youth Enterprise Foundation (YEF) is a foundation or a public limited company focusing on youth entrepreneurship, business and development of financial markets.

The YEF is designed as a self-sustaining  venture, funded by shares owned by young people, governments and other stakeholders. The government's role  decreases as more and more young people buy into the venture.

The concept of the Youth Enterprise Foundation was developed for the Government of Maldives, with the  intention of adapting it for other member countries. It is aimed at addressing the increasing need for small-scale  enterprise and business development for young people.

Commonwealth Asia Forum of Junior Chambers

The Commonwealth Asia Forum of Junior Chambers (C7-JC) was instituted on 20th November 2002 in Singapore as the salient outcome of the Asia Regional Consultation on Youth Chambers of Commerce jointly organised by Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) Asia Centre and National Youth Council, Singapore. C7-JC was formed with the aim of enhancing regional co-operation among young people in addition to promoting, facilitating, and developing enterprises, entrepreneurship, business skills, values, ethics, mentorship and leadership among young people of the Commonwealth Asian member countries.

Youth enterprise, leadership, mentorship and volunteerism development are four strands of the Youth for the Future Initiative of the Commonwealth endorsed by Heads of the Governments. Thus Commonwealth sees this opportune to work with Junior Chambers and create a regional platform for young professionals to excel and realise their dreams while mentoring and motivating other young followers.
