Ms Palesa Kadi

Palesa Kadi, 26, holds a BA honours degree in Political Studies and a Masters in History. She is skilled in social facilitation programs, academic advancement schemes and women’s development projects. She currently works for the local municipality (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality), an organisation that is program based, fundraises for poverty alleviation projects and is faced with the vast challenges of social cohesion. Palesa’s aspiration is to become part of the new generation of leaders that will focus on planning scenarios for vision 2020 for Africa. This leadership, she says, will be able to conquer most of the challenges of the sub-Sahara including HIV/AIDS programs. Her hobbies are reading biographies, shopping, and watching cricket.

“Most youth do not have sufficient resources to deal with the dynamics of leading organisations, it becomes a difficult task to coordinate unorganized youths, but the best policy is communication and timely information distribution”.
