She has her Masters in Business Administration, General Management Option. She is an Ex Officio Executive member of the Federation of Youth Association of Ghana, an umbrella body of all youth organizations in Ghana representing youth and youth organizations on various platforms in Ghana.

She was nominated to be the Commonwealth Youth Representative for Ghana in September 2005 by the then Ministry of Manpower, Youth and Sports through the National Youth Council. She has since represented the youth of Ghana in international forums such as the Commonwealth Regional Advisory Board Meeting in Seychelles, the Commonwealth Youth Ministers’ Meeting in Sri Lanka, among others. She also served as a commonwealth youth observer during the Zambian election in 2006.

Phyllis’ years of doing youth work, makes her believe that the youth when giving the opportunity are in the capacity of pushing a nation forward through the GUIDANCE and COUCHING by responsible elderly people. The youth are therefore not to be manipulated but then to be assisted or coached; as they learn through the assistance that they are giving.

It is my aspiration to see young people know who they really are and not what others want them to be. Young people who are independent and will be responsible for the decisions they make. Young people who will be able to stand up and ask of the why’s, how’s and who’s in order to be informed regardless the pressure and the influence. I aspire to see leaders who have the young people at heart making use of the potentials of young people to build a nation. She enjoys driving on the high way where there is less traffic, traveling, exploring, adventuring and helping others if it is within her means.’ I aspire to be part of a team of young leaders with a vision and in reality walk people into how to achieve the vision and not what just the vision looks like’
