Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting

Commonwealth Finance Ministers, Georgetown, Guyana, October 2007Since its inception the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting has sought to prepare Ministers for their discussions at the IMF/ World Bank Meetings which take place immediately afterwards.

Commonwealth Finance Ministers last met in Georgetown, Guyana on 15, 16 and 17 October. The meeting was chaired by Hon Dr Ashni Singh, Minister of Finance, Guyana. Ministers welcomed the opening address of His Excellency President Bharrat Jagdeo and expressed agreement with the principles outlined.

The theme of the meeting was 'Climate Change: The Challenges Facing Finance Ministers.'

CFMM Communiqués

The next meeting of Commonwealth Finance Ministers will be held in St Lucia from 6 to 8 October 2008.
